Brian McDermott: In the running for manager of the month award

The achievements of Bolton, Brighton, Leeds United and Leicester City have all been recognised, with the quartet enjoying productive runs through November.

Leicester, Brighton and Leeds also have contenders for the player of the month award, with Lloyd Dyer, Tomasz Kuszczak and Ross McCormack vying with on-loan Derby defender Andre Wisdom for the accolade.

Here, Sky Sports considers more closely the managers in contention.

Dougie Freedman (Bolton Wanderers)

Re-affirmed faith at The Reebok as he led his side to three successive victories. The away wins at Bournemouth and Watford were built on a sound defensive platform and hauled Bolton out of the bottom three.

Oscar Garcia (Brighton & Hove Albion)

The Spaniard quietly restored resilience to Brighton while developing their passing style. His team earned 10 points from four matches, three of them away, including a 1-0 win at fellow promotion hopefuls Wigan Athletic.

Brian McDermott (Leeds United)

Nine points from a possible 12 instilled a consistency during November which has made his side genuine promotion contenders. Has fashioned a well-rounded forward line which attacks at pace.

Nigel Pearson (Leicester City)

Has developed his side into a thrilling attacking force, going forward at will and creating chances aplenty. Three wins from four games took Leicester to the top of the Sky Bet Championship table with eight goals scored.

Sky Sports also takes a look at those in the mix to be named Player of the Month.

Lloyd Dyer (Leicester City)

The all-action force behind Leicester's rise to the head of the Sky Bet Championship. Forceful strikes against Watford and Millwall supported his runs at pace which created openings for others and had defenders chasing shadows.

Tomasz Kuszczak (Brighton & Hove Albion)

Conceded just two goals in four games and displayed a wide array of shot-stopping and smart reactions to keep clean sheets in the wins over Blackburn and Wigan. Was also vital in preserving a point away to Bournemouth.

Ross McCormack (Leeds United)

Was in irresistible form, scoring seven goals with his direct running and willingness to shoot. Followed up two fine finishes against Yeovil Town with all four Leeds goals in the 4-2 win at Charlton, including a sumptuous free-kick.

Andre Wisdom (Derby County)

On loan from Liverpool, he added a potent combination of pace and power on the right side of the Derby team. His refreshing attacking play was supplemented with solid defending for a side which conceded just two goals.

The winners will be announced on Friday, December 6th.

All Platini is doing is making billionaries pay measly fines, so he and his cronies can get rich. If a fool can pay 50 mil for David Luiz, he will happily pay some fine to UEFA. FFP has failed as for it to succeed UEFA had to take it...
