Spelmann talks up Royals link

Danish midfielder Martin Spelmann is keen on a move to England and admits a move to Reading would appeal to him.

Last Updated: 04/06/13 at 14:42 Post Comment

The 26-year-old is set to quit his club AC Horsens this summer after they were relegated from the Danish Superliga.

Spelmann, who is a product of Brondby's youth academy, has been linked in the past with a move to Reading.

He admits he would relish a move to the Premier League but would have no issue moving to the Royals, who were relegated to the Championship last season.

When asked about the Reading rumours, Spelmann told Tipsbladet: "I have not seen or heard anything about it but it sure does sound nice if it is true.

"I have to get in touch with my agent. I hope there is some truth to it because that it would be awesome.

"I will not turn down a Premier League club but The Championship is a great league. I want to play in a league where I can grow as a player. If you get the chance to do so then you have to take it."
