Daniel Carrico: Looking to bring a disappointing spell at Reading to a close

The 24-year-old only linked up with the Royals in January, but made just three appearances as they suffered relegation out of the Premier League.

The former Sporting Lisbon midfielder is now planning to make another move, and could be on his way to Spain.

Sevilla were keen to do a deal before Carrico headed to England and they are reported to be lining up a loan deal with a view to a permanent agreement being struck at a later date.

On those rumours, Carrico said: "Sevilla is a great club. I would love to play for them.

"I will not be staying at Reading."

While Carrico has already set his heart on leaving the Madejski Stadium, his agent is staying tight-lipped when it comes to a possible transfer.

Carlos Goncalves told the Reading Post: "I don't want to make a comment. The only thing I can confirm is that Sevilla were interested in the player joining them before he came to England.

"He's got a contract with Reading and he's with the team at the moment."

ah, Fergie is just having another pop at Rooney. He just wants to put him down whenever he gets a chance. Rooney is by far the best English player. Carrick is not far behind, mind. However, by elevating Carrick like that, Sir is having a dig at Wayne. Fergie is well-known for mind games like that. Good to see he's still feisty.
