Nigel Adkins: Working hard to add to his squad

Adkins has already brought in Royston Drenthe, Danny Williams and Wayne Bridge as the Royals bid to bounce back from last season's relegation.

But Adkins dismissed reports linking him witha move for Stoke striker Cameron Jerome following Saturday's thrilling 3-3 draw with Watford.

"There's going to be lots of speculation, every manager wants to strengthen their group," he said.

"There's two and a bit weeks until the window, we scored three and if we hadn't scored three people would be asking more questions about strikers. We're working hard behind the scenes."
