Nigel Adkins: Happy to loan out Jonathan Henley

Reading are ready to loan out the highly-rated keeper so that he can gain some valuable first-team experience.

The 19-year-old, who has come through the ranks at Reading, is highly-regarded at the Madejski Stadium and he signed a new two-year deal at the club earlier this summer.

Henly has yet to make a senior appearance for Reading, but he was named on the bench for last season's clash against Everton.

Reading boss Nigel Adkins is well stocked in the goalkeeping department with Alex McCarthy and Adam Federici battling for the No.1 spot and he feels Henly would benefit from playing regular first-team football.

A number of clubs are already thought to have enquired about taking the Scotland Under 19 international on loan.
