Nigel Adkins: Demands a Royal response

The Royals were on the wrong end of one of the shock results of the weekend as Wednesday secured their first win of the season in style.

Next up for Reading is a visit from promotion rivals QPR and Adkins is determined to avoid a repeat.

"We won't be brushing it under the carpet, there are things there to be addressed and that starts Monday," said Adkins.

"We'll regroup and be ready for the next game. We'll analyse it properly which is the best way forward - sometimes you can say things in the heat of the moment which are wrong.

"I can look back on the performance, it's all ifs buts and maybes, but at the end of the day we got trounced 5-2."
