Sean Morrison: Nearing a return to action

The 23-year-old has been absent since November's 1-1 draw with QPR due to a knee ligament injury picked up in training the following week.

Prior to that, Morrison had been a regular fixture in Nigel Adkins' back four, featuring 15 times in the Sky Bet Championship.

His recovery was further delayed after straining his quad, but he is now eyeing a return within the next month.

"Sometime in March is the aim," he told the Reading Post.

"Hopefully, I'll be back full training by the end of this week then I can really crack on.

"It's been three and a half months now since it happened. It's been a difficult time but it's just one of those things in football you have to deal with.

"I've gone through it before, although this is the longest time out I've had. I would have been back three or four weeks ago but the quad injury set me back."

I

think all those names linked to United exits make sense. Kagawa has never really looked like hitting the form he had at Dortmund and Fellaini is radioactive after last season (even though I think he's been unfairly singled out for criticism). Nani and Anderson have had more than their fair share of chances so they are done, and Hernandez deserves better than warming a bench.

e'll be off to Spurs (or better) in January and I don't blame him. Looking forward to re-signing Grant Holt as his replacement though.
