Simon Eastwood: Set to leave Portsmouth for Blackburn

Eastwood is set to arrive at Ewood Park on a free transfer after turning down a new contract at Portsmouth.

The 23-year-old has impressed for Portsmouth this season despite their relegation to League Two and Blackburn goalkeeping coach John Keeley is an admirer of Eastwood having worked with him during his time in the same role at Pompey.

Blackburn are in the market for goalkeeping reinforcements with Paul Robinson ruled out for the first few months of next season as he recovers from a blood clot.

Eastwood is thought to have agreed personal terms and passed a medical at Blackburn, and will make the switch to Ewood Park when his contract expires on July 1st.
