Guy Whittingham: Could be losing Johnny Ertl in the summer

Ertl made 37 appearances for Pompey but could not prevent their relegation from League One as the South Coast club were hit by a further points deduction.

The Austria international has the option of staying at Fratton Park under Guy Whittingham but nothing has yet been agreed and other clubs are believed to be monitoring his situation.

Sides from League One, League Two, Major League Soccer in the United States and the A-League in Australia as well as teams in his native Austria are all keeping tabs on the 30-year-old player.

Ertl joined Portsmouth last summer having previously played for Sheffield United and Crystal Palace.
