Portsmouth striker David Connolly was left frustrated after his weekend double against Accrington was only enough for one point.

David Connolly: Not happy with a point

The veteran Irishman struck twice against Stanley but Pompey were pegged back to draw 2-2 and are still looking for their first win in League Two this season.

"Coming away with one point is hard to take when you consider all the good work we produced in that game," said Connolly.

"There were some really good passages of play from the team and we look bright going forward, so not winning is tough.

"We cut them open quite easily at times with some good movement, but putting the ball in the net is often the hardest thing to do.

"We showed good spirit to come from one goal down to lead, but I thought we looked a bit leggy in the second half and maybe lost some of our thrust towards the end."

I

think all those names linked to United exits make sense. Kagawa has never really looked like hitting the form he had at Dortmund and Fellaini is radioactive after last season (even though I think he's been unfairly singled out for criticism). Nani and Anderson have had more than their fair share of chances so they are done, and Hernandez deserves better than warming a bench.

e'll be off to Spurs (or better) in January and I don't blame him. Looking forward to re-signing Grant Holt as his replacement though.
