Jake Jervis: Training with Pompey

Jervis, who made three appearances on loan at Pompey last season, is a free agent after leaving Turkish club Elazigspor and former England full-back Shorey was released by Bristol City last week.

Manager Richie Barker told The News: "They are just training as Nicky recently left Bristol City and Jake does not have a club and has been with us before.

"I thought I would have a look at them and will have a conversation with them in the next 24 hours about how long they will train with us.

"If there is the opportunity to look at people then we will do that, and if they come in and do well, then that is great."
