Robert Beric: Is buried by his team-mates after his goal against Spurs

The 21-year-old has impressed in the Europa League, with Tottenham now thought to be pondering a move for the Slovenian after his goal against them in October.

Serie A side Napoli are also rumoured to scrutinising the Under 21 international, who has scored twice for his club side in this season's Europa League.

Maribor face Spurs at White Hart Lane on Thursday, providing Andre Villas Boas with another chance to assess Beric at close quarters, but his club are ignoring talk of a possible move for their player.

"Tomorrow's match against Tottenham is everything we are thinking about at this moment," said Maribor director of sport Zlatko Zahovic.

"We want to get a good result in London.

"Beric? Believe me, I do not know anything about interest from those clubs mentioned," he added to Slovenian newspaper Ekipa.

xcellent! Not sure if he is any good as a manager (never thought about it) but the 'headbutt in the technical area' and what he said to Pelligrini were just brilliant, it was as if he was trying to recreate the end of the Alan Partridge Xmas special when Alan punched a man in a wheelchair and verbally abused Tony Heirs.
