Jan Vertonghen: Ruled Tottenham out as title challengers

Spurs have climbed up to fifth spot after two wins against West Ham and Liverpool in the last week.

Andre Villas-Boas' men are ten points behind leaders Manchester United and Vertonghen insists the title is a two-horse race between the Red Devils and Manchester City.

Belgian ace Vertonghen concedes Spurs are targeting a top four finish so that they can qualify for next season's UEFA Champions League.

"[Manchester] City and United are competing for the championship, the rest of the teams are competing for third and fourth place and I hope we can be there," the Daily Star quotes Vertonghen as saying.
