Andreas Granqvist: Open to the idea of making a January move away from Genoa

The Sweden international, who spent a forgettable 18 months with Wigan in 2007/08, is said to have attracted interest from Tottenham, Liverpool and Sunderland.

Granqvist is open to the idea of leaving Genoa, but is hoping to link up with a side that can compete for UEFA Champions League qualification.

Dynamo are regulars in European football's premier club competition, and they have opened discussions regarding a deal.

Granqvist is aware that talks are under way and is waiting for an update from his agent before deciding what his next move will be.

He told Sportbladet: "I am happy in Genoa, but it is no secret that I would like to play for a club who play in the Champions League or Europa League.

"I know that Dynamo Kiev and Genoa have been negotiating."
