Gareth Bale has impressed William Gallas with his free-kicks

Bale fired in two remarkable free-kicks in the 2-1 Europa League victory over Lyon on Thursday evening at White Hart Lane.

And Gallas is full of praise for the near-unique way in which the Welsh winger strikes the football, revealing it is the result of a lot of hard work.

"Gareth Bale is working a lot on free-kicks during training sessions," he told L'Equipe.

"There are only two players in the world that can kick them that way, Cristiano Ronaldo and him.

"The ball comes back down so quickly, for keepers it is difficult because the trajectory is very difficult to read."
