teeball - I agree, can't see him not being snapped up unless we get a shift on with this stadium and start being in contention for something only than 'The Race For Top Four'. Time will tell I guess. It doesn't help when Bale will be seeing clubs like arsenal, City and Chelsea paying ridiculous wages of 100k+ to the players like Walcott, Lescott and Mikel. Is it any wonder wages are spiralling out of control!

In fairness, any Arsenal fan who thinks Walcott is better than Bale is deluded, but equally any Spud who thinks Bale will be there for too much longer is equally deluded. Do you not realise that Bale knows Walcott is on 100K per week. And until Spuds gets their new stadium in the next 10- 15 years or so they will never be able to afford to pay players that, never.

Jay_D ¿ I think arse fans have been getting a little bitter and jealous recently. Why is it that when there¿s a Bale article, gooners have to come on and start telling everyone who¿ll listen that he¿s not that good or that Walcott is better? Nobody asked for these mental comparisons. And nobody but yourselves are making them. Even yesterday there was the ¿AVB rating Bale as world class¿ article. A gooner has to come on a start having an argument with himself about Henry, Vieira et al are better blah blah blah. It reminds me of that annoying brat child that starts jumping up and down, crying and screaming because he¿s not getting enough attention off his mum.

Spurs fans have certainly been getting a little bit precious recently. Goonegro said that Walcott had scored and assisted more goals than Bale, while actually, as of the west ham game, Walcott has only got more assists. But then a Walcott defender could point to shooting accuracy. Or a Bale defender could point to successful dribbles. Or something. It doesn't really matter, the only comparisons which do matter are the ones in the context of the fixture, arsenal vs spurs. The real question is who is going to have a bigger impact on the tie and looking at previous games between the two, it's probably not as clear-cut as either side is trying to make out.

Yes, even Spurs deserve at least one good finish to a season. So, Spurs fans, you are encouraged to enjoy it by bit of gloating.

goonergo, hmmm I'm not so sure. I sense a bit of backtracking now you've been made to look a plum (even by your own fellow gooners). I reckon you might be deluded enough to believe the Walcott better than Bale thing. It's not like you're the only gooner that's said it. Personally I'd rather keep Bale!

Walcott: Friendlies - 2, League Cup - 1, FA Cup - 2, EPL - 11, CL - 1. Total = 22. Bale: Friendlies - 2, League Cup - 1, FA Cup - 1, EPL - 15, El - 2. Total = 22. Who's scored more did you say?

m starting to think Roman may never actually be happy at the top level. If he wants all conquering fancy football I wonder if he'd be better off buying a lower division side then paying outlandish salaries to attract high caliber players too good for the division.
