Younes Kaboul played his first game in almost eight months on Monday when he turned out for Tottenham's under-21 team against West Ham.

Younes Kaboul: Back in action at Upton Park

The defender has been sidelined since aggravating a knee injury during the opening match of the season at Newcastle in August.

The Frenchman completed an hour against the Hammers before being taken off in front of around 300 fans at Upton Park.

Kaboul had been expected to return to action early in the new year, following surgery in August, but has struggled in his rehabilitation from the injury

The 27-year-old is not expected to make his first team comeback until later in the month, possibly the league clash against Manchester City on April 21.
