Andre Villas-Boas: Reports claim the Spurs boss is interested in Bernard

The attacking midfielder is currently on international duty with Brazil at the Confederations Cup, but he failed to make an appearance against Japan in his country's opening game.

Reports have claimed that Andre Villas-Boas is looking to sign the 20-year-old, who has also been subject of interest from Borussia Dortmund and FC Porto.

However, Bernard's agent Moyses has claimed that Dortmund have not made a bid and that Spurs are the only team currently in the race.

"Dortmund have not submitted a proposal," Moyses told O Jogo.

"Therefore Tottenham are the only contenders."

Bernard has three caps for Brazil, and has scored 11 goals in 59 league appearances for Mineiro.
