David Bentley: Attracting interest from Espanyol & Utrecht

Bentley is a free agent and is looking for a new club after leaving White Hart Lane earlier this summer.

A number of clubs, including Stoke and Queens Park Rangers, are thought to be keen on signing the former Blackburn Rovers man.

However, several sides across Europe are also keeping tabs on the 28-year-old's situation with Bentley one of the most attractive free agents around this summer.

Espanyol are looking to bolster their squad ahead of the new Primera Liga season and Bentley is thought to figure on Javier Aguirre's wanted list.

Utrecht, who finished fifth in the Eredivise last season, are keen to build on their success last season as they look to mount a top-half finish this term and coach Jan Wouters is believed to be an admirer of Bentley.

Bentley is keeping his options open and he would have no problem in playing abroad having enjoyed a stint on loan in Russia last season with FC Rostov.
