Mivhael Dawson: Tottenham defender wants to put things right

Spurs headed into the international break on the back of a 3-0 loss against the Hammers which checked their impressive start to the season.

Andre Villas-Boas' side next face Villa away from home and Dawson is expecting a response to the West Ham setback.

"The first three days when I woke up my first thought was 'how did we lose that game?'" Dawson told the club's official website.

"We were all gutted. It was never a 3-0 game. Defensively, it was massive disappointment. Now we have to put it right.

"When you are winning, everything takes care of itself.

"But you have to earn the right to win. You can't just walk out there and do it.

"We will now look to go out and win against Villa. A loss like West Ham is always in the back of your mind but you have to move on. In football, you get the chance to do it."
