Ryan Edwards: Attracting interest from a host of clubs

Edwards has been attracting the interest of several sides after impressing during a loan stint at Rochdale.

The 19-year-old has been an ever-present in John Coleman's side and his form has been instrumental in Rochdale's rise to sixth spot in the League Two table this term.

Edwards' loan spell at Spotland is due to expire in January and a number of clubs higher up the football pyramid are thought to be keen on taking him on loan for the second half of the season.

A couple of Premier League sides are also thought to be watching Edwards as they weigh up moves for the highly-rated central defender.

Edwards, who captained Blackburn to the final of the FA Youth Cup last season, is highly regarded at Ewood Park and they see him as a key cog of their future plans.
