Wins for Hull, Brighton, Watford, Forest and Charlton

Crystal Palace sit two points clear at the top of the Championship table after Middlesbrough's unbeaten run came to an end.

Cardiff City climbed back into the automatic promotion places while Leicester City enjoyed a comfortable afternoon and Hull City, Brighton & Hove Albion, Watford, Nottingham Forest, Charlton Athletic and Blackburn Rovers also recorded wins.

Ian Holloway's Crystal Palace strengthened their position at the top of the table as two goals from Glenn Murray and one from Andre Moritz resulted in a 3-0 win over Derby County at Selhurst Park.

Middlesbrough lost ground on Palace as the Manager of the Month curse struck Tony Mowbray, with his side's recent unbeaten run in the Championship coming to an end after they suffered a 1-0 defeat at Cardiff, who overtook their rivals in second place in the table.

Steve Bruce's high-flying Hull returned to winning ways and stayed fourth but they had to survive a fightback from their manager's former club, Birmingham City, to hang on for a 3-2 win at St Andrews.

Ipswich Town's mini-revival was dealt another big setback as Mick McCarthy saw his side hammered 6-0 at promotion hopefuls Leicester, with the Foxes' first four goals coming in the first half.

Will Buckley was the scourge of Huddersfield Town as he scored two first-half goals in Brighton's 2-1 win at the John Smith's Stadium.

Henning Berg picked up his first win as Blackburn manager as Jordan Rhodes scored a hat-trick in a 4-1 win at Peterborough United, which moved the visitors into the play-off places and sent the hosts to the bottom of the table.

Blackpool have still only won one league game in eight but they rescued a late point in a 1-1 draw against relegation zone-occupants Bristol City, who addressed their seven-match losing run, through Tom Ince's last-gasp penalty equaliser at Ashton Gate.

Dougie Freedman remains unbeaten as Bolton Wanderers manager but had to settle for a point against Barnsley as Kevin Davies' opener was cancelled out by Craig Davies in a 1-1 draw at the Reebok Stadium.

Burnley played with 10 men for more than 75 minutes after Kieran Trippier's early red card against Charlton but they ultimately suffered a 1-0 defeat through Danny Haynes' 69th minute goal.

Nottingham Forest's first win in four league games saw them climb the table as Miguel Angel Llera's 75th minute own goal decided the points in a 1-0 win over Sheffield Wednesday.

Wolverhampton Wanderers thought they had overcome the red card of Christophe Berra as Bakary Sako's equaliser cancelled out Nathaniel Chalobah's opener against Watford but Troy Deeney earned a 2-1 win.

e made his power play to try and get Sheikhy to raise his wages or trade him to PSG. PSG were probably not interested and he is stuck with no cake and no vacation. @Jay_D> Surely you jest about FFP being real, right? All Platini is doing is making billionaries pay measly fines, so he and his cronies can get rich. If a fool can pay 50 mil for David Luiz, he will happily pay some fine to UEFA. FFP has failed as for it to succeed UEFA had to take it...
