Marshall joined Leicester from Stoke City in January 2012 and has made over 60 appearances during his time at the King Power Stadium.

However, he has not made an appearance this season and has not even featured on the bench since the opening-day win at Middlesbrough.

The 21-year-old now appears poised for a switch to Championship rivals Blackburn, who remain keen to improve their attacking options.

Blackburn enjoyed their first win of the season at the weekend when Jordan Rhodes scored a brace in a 5-2 thrashing of Barnsley.
