Kenny McLean: Linked with a number of clubs

McLean is out of contract at the end of the season at St Mirren and he has yet to agree a new deal with the Buddies.

The news has alerted a host of clubs in Scotland and England, with Rangers long-term admirers of the highly-rated midfielder.

Rangers boss Ally McCoist is keen to bolster his squad ahead of life in the Scottish Championship next season and he sees McLean as a key addition to his plans for the future.

The likes of Ipswich, Blackburn and Yeovil are all keeping tabs on McLean and are weighing up moves for the Scotland Under 21 international in the summer.

McLean is regarded as one of the best prospects to emerge in Scotland in recent years and St Mirren are facing a battle to keep hold of him beyond this summer.
