Ciaran Clark: Staying positive despite Aston Villa's form

Villa have dropped into the bottom three after picking up just one point from their last five matches.

Paul Lambert's side have struggled defensively in recent weeks, but Clark believes their attacking style will see their results improve to help them clear of danger at the wrong end of the table.

"There will be a day when we put three or four past a team," said Clark. "It will turn, it's got to turn, and hopefully it will come in the next few weeks.

"Obviously, it would be a lot worse if we were drawing or losing games and we were not creating chances. You'd be thinking, 'Where are we going to get a goal from?'

"But we are doing the right things and creating chances.

"Once that first one goes in we'll be away. We are just waiting on that time to happen.

"We just have to concentrate on ourselves and our own performances and make sure we start picking points up."
