Alan Hutton: Set to travel to Spain for talks with Real Mallorca on Tuesday

Mallorca have expressed an interest in signing Hutton on loan until the end of the season with a view to a permanent deal.

Hutton has found himself out of favour at Villa and he has not featured for Paul Lambert this season.

The 28-year-old has recently returned to Villa Park after a successful two-month loan spell at Championship outfit Nottingham Forest.

Villa are ready to let Hutton leave on loan and talks with Mallorca are thought to be at an advanced stage.

Hutton is expected to travel to Spain on Tuesday to meet with Mallorca officials and possibly undergo a medical ahead of a switch to La Liga.

e was right to leave, but not just because of the money City were coming into. If I remember rightly he had a reasonable amount of chances to shine at City, but he never passed the bloody ball. Loads of aimless dribbles and 40 yard shots and not much else. I would say that if he had learnt to be a bit more of a team player he may have done better at City.
