Simon Dawkins: Ready to experience atmosphere at Villa Park

The 25-year-old midfielder, a product of the Tottenham academy, agreed a loan move from the rival Premier League club on deadline day.

And Dawkins, who has spent time at MLS side San Jose Earthquakes over the last few seasons, is confident the fans' support can help a struggling Villa side avoid relegation.

"I can't wait for Sunday. It will be amazing," he said. "I am really eager to get out there and sample the atmosphere at Villa Park.

"I have been thinking about it since I signed the contract. I am really excited about it.

"The Villa Park atmosphere is supposed to be amazing. But that's not a surprise because it's a huge club with loyal fans. I am really looking forward to be in and amongst it this weekend."

Aston Villa currently sit second bottom, four points above QPR and level on points with Wigan.
