Christian Benteke: Says Libor Kozak has a lot to offer Aston Villa

Benteke has shouldered a lot of responsibility since joining Villa in the summer of 2012, and Paul Lambert hopes Kozak will be able to share the scoring burden.

The new man was unable to make much of an impact in his debut on Saturday as Villa went down 2-1 at home to Newcastle United, but Benteke has been impressed by what he has seen in training and is hopeful for the future.

"I think he will help me a lot and do well for the team as well," said Benteke in the Birmingham Mail.

"We can learn from each other. I haven't trained much with him because he went away with his national team.

"But you can see he has good qualities with his finishing and I hope he's going to score some goals for the team."

Benteke managed to score against Newcastle but was saddened by another home defeat and is targeting a response against Norwich City this weekend.

"We feel disappointed because we are still looking for our first points at home and we got the chances to take some points but in the end we still lost the game," said Benteke.

"The fans give me a lot of confidence and I try to give them something back but sometimes it is not easy, especially when you lose.

"It is nice to score but it is a shame for the team."
