Libor Kozak: Aston Villa striker is still adapting to life in the Premier League

Kozak, who joined Villa on transfer deadline day from Lazio, grabbed the winning goal in last weekend's victory at Norwich in only his second appearance for the club.

The big striker is set to be handed the chance to nail down a regular place in Paul Lambert's side with Christian Benteke out for six weeks through injury and Kozak concedes he is still adapting to playing in the Premier League.

"It's definitely a good start as it would have been worse if I had to wait (for the first goal)," Kozak told isport.blesk.cz. "It's fine that I scored but now it's even more important to build on that.

"Coach Lambert praised me after the match but I have to show a lot from my abilites yet.

"First of all I need to adapt myself because it's a lot different to Italy. I am far from my ideal form."

"But it's going to take some time yet, though I have a good feeling."

Kozak is hoping to start this weekend's home clash with Manchester City and help Villa build on their win against Norwich.

"Now we have a tough match against Manchester City on Saturday, so we need to stop thinking about Norwich and look forward, try to confirm that win," he added.

"I would be very glad if I could start and enjoy the atmosphere on the pitch. Motivation is huge, it's a massive game, so hopefully we can do well."

ah, Fergie is just having another pop at Rooney. He just wants to put him down whenever he gets a chance. Rooney is by far the best English player. Carrick is not far behind, mind. However, by elevating Carrick like that, Sir is having a dig at Wayne. Fergie is well-known for mind games like that. Good to see he's still feisty.
