Villa manager Paul Lambert is considering sending Albrighton, 28, out on loan to regain his match fitness after an injury-hit few months.

And Coyle is looking for reinforcements to boost his squad as they attempt to mount a promotion bid and qualify from their Europa League group.

"I've been trying to bring a couple of players in to boost our squad and we will continue to pursue that in the next week," he said.

"(Albrighton) is a very good player, he is a player I tried to sign at Bolton a few years ago but he's an Aston Villa player and until Paul decides otherwise then that's how it is.

"But we are always in the market for good players and he is certainly one of those."

Coyle may also need goalkeeping cover after Scott Carson left Charlton on crutches having injured his ankle in the warm-up prior to Sunday's 0-0 draw.

ou can't blame De Gea for wanting to leave, he has enough to do in front of goal as it is as well as taking on the role of Man Utd's version of Derek Acorah in trying to contact and organise a defence that isn't there.
