Villa still have the 8th highest wage bill in the PL, yet what happened to the wage restructuring we were told is the reason for not signing more high profile players? What a load of old bollocks, Randy Lerner is playing us all for fools.

Q. What do you do when you know that your multi millionaire chairman won't spend big? A. Buy into his idea, sell all your experienced players, waste too much of that limited money on youth & when the inevitable happens, state the obvious. Job done!

And he's saying this now? Pretty sure a year ago he was denying that Villa needed experience players, he was sticking to a 'philosophy' apparently. Look, I know he's hasn't had much money to spend but it bothers me that he didn't have the guts to speak out sooner. Lets be honest there's plenty to criticize Randy Lerner about....not saying sweet fa for ages is one!

Lambert's Norwich played decent football but it has been god-awful at Villa for all but a couple of months of last season. The fans have been exceptionally patient over the last four years- even McLeish got through 90% of a dire season before the support turned, but Lambert has lost them now and is going to have to go.

'It's not acceptable for this club to keep doing this, it's been four years of battling against relegation. It's too big a football club to do this.' You can be a club with megastores on another planet, a fanbase enough to populate another and a trophy cabinet you could keep a plane in - if you're crap, you deserve to be exactly where you are. It's merit, chum, not size that matters.

It does not matter who he buys if they are just going to boot it down the line all day, they beat chelsea way back then relaxed as they were out of the relegation dog fight, only to get dragged back in. No ambition and no desire in his team. His win record is awful and if we stay up this season it will be the same dross next season.

Oh dear...think Lambert really wants large players....as RL has not got any pennies. They should look at a better youth system....they could also look at a new manager who is a leader and can inspire these guys....but they vacant sell Benteke as he is out for too long before the next window shuts and it would be a ,massive risk. Unfortunately it all points to a sale by RL to the right owner for AV to get back into the top half of the PL

PSG were probably not interested and he is stuck with no cake and no vacation. @Jay_D> Surely you jest about FFP being real, right? All Platini is doing is making billionaries pay measly fines, so he and his cronies can get rich. If a fool can pay 50 mil for David Luiz, he will happily pay some fine to UEFA. FFP has failed as for it to succeed UEFA had to take it...
