Ryan Taylor: Suffered cruciate ligament damage during Europa League tie

The versatile 28-year-old suffered cruciate ligament damage during the UEFA Europa League tie with Atromitos in August, ruling him out for a significant period of time.

Taylor is, however, pleased with the progress he has made in his rehabilitation and admits there is a chance he could be back before the end of the 2012/13 campaign.

"Everything's strong, everything's going well," Taylor told Sky Sports News HD.

"I saw the surgeon that did it two weeks ago and he was absolutely made up with it. Hopefully there are good times ahead.

"I would love to be back before the end of the season. But it's one of those things and I can't put my finger on a game, on a date, or anything like that.

"If I do get back, it will be such a bonus to me and such a big relief that I know I can then kick on in pre-season."
