Cabaye: Yaya is the best

Newcastle United star Yohan Cabaye will relish his midfield battle against the 'best player in the Premier League; when he takes on Manchester City's Yaya Toure.

Yohan Cabaye: The Frenchman rates Yaya Toure as best in Premier League

The pair will go head-to-head at the Etihad Stadium on Saturday afternoon and it could be a contest which decides the outcome of the match.

And fresh from facing the likes of Spain's Xavi, Andres Iniesta and Sergio Busquets on international duty for France on Tuesday, Cabaye is expecting another big test.

He said in The Sun: "Every time, it is the best feeling for me when we play against the best players in the world.

"On Tuesday, it was Spain and, on Saturday, it is going to be Yaya Toure. He is the best in the Premier League.

"Toure is the best, because he can defend, he can score, he can play up offensively and defensively. He is the complete midfielder and he deserves to be where he is.

"Kun Aguero, David Silva, Carlos Tevez and many more are all fantastic players. I do not want to say their stars are less good than Yaya Toure. But when Yaya misses a game, like at Everton, they lost.

"It is going to be totally different than the Spain midfield but it is going to be tough as well. We will have a big, big job to do to stop City."

City have seemingly conceded the Premier League title to derby rivals Manchester United, who could be, temporarily at least, 18 points clear if they win at Sunderland on Saturday lunchtime.

And Cabaye thinks he knows why City have struggled this season, as he said: "City have fantastic players but, unfortunately for them, they do not think and play as a team. It is not the same as United. So maybe that is the difference."

ah, Fergie is just having another pop at Rooney. He just wants to put him down whenever he gets a chance. Rooney is by far the best English player. Carrick is not far behind, mind. However, by elevating Carrick like that, Sir is having a dig at Wayne. Fergie is well-known for mind games like that. Good to see he's still feisty.
