Remy Cabella: Was a top target for Newcastle in January

Highly-rated midfielder Cabella was strongly linked with a move to Newcastle United in January, and reports suggest the Premier League club will rekindle their interest when the transfer window re-opens.

Former France U21 international Stambouli has also been drawing admiring glances from afar, and he will definitely be on the move in the near future.

Both men are tied to contracts at Montpellier and will command a fee, which will help their current employers in the pursuit of replacements, with the option of making M'Baye Niang's loan from AC Milan into a permanent deal set to be explored.

Club chairman Louis Nicollin told Midi Libre: "Stambouli's future? That is sorted, he will leave. Probably Cabella as well.

"About Niang, we will see with AC Milan because it will be expensive. But if coach Rolland Courbis wants to keep him..."

Nicollin has also revealed that Montpellier are exploring the option of cancelling an agreement with Dynamo Kiev regarding the 2013 sale of Morocco international Belhanda.

The Ukrainian side have yet to complete full payment for the midfielder and that could mean that he is sent back to France and freed to complete another move elsewhere.

"Kiev have not paid the whole transfer fee," said Nicollin.

"We have notified UEFA, so it is possible that Younes could come back and be sold somewhere else."

hould have stayed because we carried him for 6.5 years. And then he has a breakthrough season, and was gone soon after. MU fans, you would be as disgusted had C Ronaldo left in 2007 and not 2009.

ood grief. Someone guessed that the form English player at the moment might be in his national side with some other players? And that's espionage? Now if they discovered that Emile Heskey was going to be in the starting line up.... at right back.... THAT would be espionage. Give it a rest Roy.
