Mario Balotelli: Tipped for greatness by Manchester City team-mate

Balotelli was named in City's starting XI for their clash with league leaders Manchester United.

But after struggling to make an impact, the Italian was taken off early in the second half in a game that ended in a 3-2 defeat for City.

Since joining City in 2010, the 22-year-old has had his ups and downs but team-mate Toure is convinced he has a bright future ahead of him.

"Mario is an unbelievable player but sometimes he can be angry with himself," Toure told the Manchester Evening News.

"All players need to improve, and I talk all the time with Mario.

"This year especially he has been working hard in training, and improving well, but sometimes in the game you can get so disappointed when you lose small things.

"But he has fantastic character and I know he will be one of the top strikers in the Premier League."

m starting to think Roman may never actually be happy at the top level. If he wants all conquering fancy football I wonder if he'd be better off buying a lower division side then paying outlandish salaries to attract high caliber players too good for the division.

afa has to be favourite for the Everton job now, surely :) He'll realise his ambition to live and work on Merseyside again, get the best out of whoever plays for them, maybe win some cups and be thoroughly loathed by the toffee fans. What's not to like? Go ead, Ken, gimajob!
