Ryan McGivern: Has impressed during loan spell in Scotland

The 23-year-old full-back is yet to make the breakthrough at the Etihad Stadium and has spent much of his senior career to date out on loan.

That has been the case once again this term, with Hibs having snapped him up in August.

An initial deal was put in place until January, but a fresh agreement will need to be struck if McGivern is to remain at Easter Road.

It is understood that City are prepared to let a man who has earned an international recall to the Northern Ireland squad on the back of his consistent displays remain in Scotland for the remainder of the 2012/13 campaign.
