Geoffrey Kondogbia: Started season well with Sevilla

Manchester City are one of the clubs being closely linked with the 20-year-old midfielder - who only moved to Spain last summer from Lens.

The French youth international has made a big impact in the first-half of the La Liga season and now a number of clubs are said to be keeping tabs on him

"I am flattered to here of such interest, but to be honest I am not thinking about leaving Sevilla," he told Sky Sports.

"Man City is a very big team with lots of resources and also big players, but I am well here.

The Spanish media have claimed that City were present at the clash between Sevilla and Deportivo La Coruna earlier this month, with their Spanish scout Rob Newman in attendance.

When asked by Sky Sports if City were at the game, Sevilla would not confirm that but said: "There have been some European clubs here, including from England."

As well as Kondogbia, it was claimed Newman was also checking on Jesus Navas.

m starting to think Roman may never actually be happy at the top level. If he wants all conquering fancy football I wonder if he'd be better off buying a lower division side then paying outlandish salaries to attract high caliber players too good for the division.
