Abdisalam Ibrahim: Attracting interest from a number of clubs

Ibrahim is currently on loan at Stromsgodset and he has been earning rave reviews for his performances in Norway.

The 22-year-old, who has been compared to Patrick Vieira in his playing style, has been instrumental in helping Stromsgodset to the top of the Tippeligaen with four games remaining in the season.

Scouts have been flocking to watch him in action and clubs have been alerted to his possible availability in the January transfer window.

Ibrahim's loan spell at Stromsgodset ends in December and with his contract at City due to expire next summer, the club are thought to be willing to let him leave for free in January as he is well down the pecking order in Manuel Pellegrini's star-studded squad.

The likes of Newcastle, Sevilla, Espanyol, Real Betis, Lyon, Lille, Saint-Etienne, Bordeaux, Galatasaray and Fenerbahce are all thought to be keeping tabs on the all-action midfielder, who made two substitute appearances for the Norway Under-21 team as they reached the semi-finals of the European U21 Championship in Israel in the summer.
