Paul Pogba: Juventus midfielder has been linked with Manchester City

Reports on Sunday morning claimed that Juventus are interested in signing Manchester City forward Stevan Jovetic, but would have to let Pogba move to the Etihad Stadium to secure a deal.

The France international's former club Manchester United have also been linked with a bid to bring the midfielder back to Old Trafford in the summer.

However, Marotta is adamant that, while he will listen to any proposals, he has no intention of allowing Pogba to leave Juventus.

"We would listen with courtesy to possible offers, but the answer will always be negative," Marotta told Sky Italia.

"Juve is between the most important sides and it's not the case to imagine any sales."

Veteran midfielder Pirlo has also been linked with a move to the Premier League, with Chelsea and Tottenham reported to be interested.

Pirlo stated on Saturday that he anticipates signing a new deal and Marotta foresees no problems in reaching an agreement.

Marotta added: "We have always showed optimism for Pirlo, due to the fact the player feels good with us and I think his permanence at Juve is expected.

"We will look at the details in the future."

irst Townsend, now Chiles. What next ITV? Comedy that you can actually watch without vomiting up your own spleen? I'll be sad to see Matt Smith go though. I actually quite like him. Plus, he was good in Doctor Who.

wful, awful pundit. He was crap on BBC, and offered a little more analysis than Robbie Savage - apart from the delivery of banality in a sexy accent. Also, as I'm Irish he'll never be more then a slimy, hand-balling f**ker in my eyes.
