Lukas Jutkiewicz: Not fazed by goalscoring pressures

The former Coventry frontman passed up a series of opportunities in the 2-1 defeat at Leeds on Saturday, and another at home to Blackburn on Boxing Day before netting the goal that claimed a precious 1-0 win.

Jutkiewicz told the Evening Gazette: "I took a bit of stick against Leeds for missing a few chances and I put my hand up to those, and against Blackburn, there was a great chance in the first half I should have buried.

"But it is important to be brave and keep getting in the right areas and having a crack when you get the chance.

"As a striker, you are going to miss chances, but there is no hiding away from that. You have to keep plugging away, getting in the positions and trying to score and hopefully you get your rewards at the end with a goal, and a goal that wins the points.

"There is pressure and expectation and when you miss, you get stick. There's no sugar-coating it. You have to put the ball in the net. At the end of the day, that's your job."

aniel Storey generally did very well, going against the City won it last year so they're bound to win it this time grain. As for John Nicholson, I wouldn't trust him to predict correctly what day of the week it will be tomorrow.
