Chelsea slipped up against Everton last weekend and then suffered a shock home defeat against Basel in the UEFA Champions League on Saturday.
Fulham have also been on a poor run, failing to win in three Premier League games since the victory over Sunderland on the opening day, but Kacaniklic is hopeful they can upset the odds.
"Maybe we'll get the three points next week [against Chelsea], you never know. I'm looking forward to it," Kacaniklic told the Fulham Chronicle.
"What he [Mourinho] has done has proven himself to be one of the best.
"I'm looking forward to that game. To play against Chelsea is always good and they've got some good young players themselves, as well as some experienced ones, so I'm looking forward to it."
Kacaniklic, who has made four appearances for Martin Jol's side this term, admits there will be added spice because it is a derby game.
"Of course it always does," he said. "We want to go there and get some points."
