Shahid Khan: Given his backing to Jol

Jol's future as Fulham manager has been the subject of conjecture for some time after an indifferent start to the Premier League campaign.

Some fans called for the head of the Dutchman after disappointing results at home to West Brom and Cardiff, but the pressure was eased on Jol following last weekend's win over Stoke.

Khan, who bought control of Fulham from Mohamed al Fayed in the summer, admits he has not been happy with Fulham's start to the campaign, but he has no plans to sack the Dutchman.

Martin is a very experienced coach," Khan told the Daily Mail.

"He's a good guy. We've gotten off to a start nobody's happy with, whether you're a fan or you're Martin.

"We want to do better but I'm not the kind of person who's going to act on impulse.

"You go through life and learn valuable lessons. I want Fulham to be very successful. You can't go out of the frying pan and into the fire. That's the most important thing."

Khan believes it is too early to make predictions about Fulham's prospects this season and is not going to make any knee-jerk decisions.

"Relegation is a horrible thought but you've got to keep in mind it's only seven games. You can't jump to conclusions," added Khan.

"You look at the table from Sunderland at the bottom to the point where the congestion that starts at seven points and it is two games, six points. And there are 31 games to play. You can't feel too good and you can't feel too bad.'

hould have stayed because we carried him for 6.5 years. And then he has a breakthrough season, and was gone soon after. MU fans, you would be as disgusted had C Ronaldo left in 2007 and not 2009.

ood grief. Someone guessed that the form English player at the moment might be in his national side with some other players? And that's espionage? Now if they discovered that Emile Heskey was going to be in the starting line up.... at right back.... THAT would be espionage. Give it a rest Roy.
