Kacaniklic spent time with Watford in early 2012 and then linked up with Burnley for three months last season to help his development, but he is now concentrating on trying to establish himself in Fulham's starting XI.
Having played only a minor role over the past few weeks, he was delighted to score via a deflection after coming on as a substitute in Saturday's 3-1 home defeat against Manchester United.
The Swedish player is desperate to play regularly but feels he is now at the stage of his career when he does not want to drop down from the Premier League.
"It's very pleasing to be back playing again," Kacaniklic said in the Fulham & Hammersmith Chronicle.
"I'm 22 now, so I want to play every week. If I don't play it's not good for my development.
"But I will never go on loan to the Championship again. I feel I'm on a higher level now."
Speaking about his deflected goal against United, Kacaniklic added: "It's definitely mine. It was going towards goal anyway, even though it got a touch."
