Rafa's back, Rodgers returns and Baggies aim to boing into third

It's another huge weekend of Premier League action with the arrival of Rafael Benitez adding further spice to the clash between Chelsea and Manchester City on Sunday.

The European champions host the Premier League champions at Stamford Bridge live on Sky Sports 1 HD with Benitez in the dugout for the first time following the sacking of Roberto Di Matteo on Wednesday.

With Manchester City having been eliminated from the UEFA Champions League in midweek and Chelsea on the brink of relinquishing their crown, the Premier League is likely to be the focus for both sides this season.

But Manchester United will also have a say in the title race and they will be eyeing top spot in the Premier League when they host winless Queens Park Rangers at Old Trafford on Saturday, with the visitors sacking Mark Hughes on Friday morning.

The weekend action begins on Sky Sports 2 HD when Sunderland entertain West Brom at the Stadium of Light in the lunch-time kick-off.

Albion can go third if they win in the North East but if they slip up then Everton will expect to take their place in the top four with a win at home to Norwich later on Saturday afternoon.

Elsewhere Wigan take on Reading at the DW Stadium and the Royals can overtake their hosts with three points but are yet to win away so far this season.

Desperate

Aston Villa are also desperate to climb up the table but face a stiff test as Arsenal are the visitors at Villa Park.

Stoke and Fulham complete the Saturday fixtures and the Potters need a three-goal win to leapfrog their opponents at the Britannia Stadium.

The lunchtime kick-off on Sunday is live on Sky Sports 1 HD and sees Brendan Rodgers return to the Liberty Stadium as Liverpool travel to Swansea.

Elsewhere on Sunday, Southampton take on Newcastle with Nigel Adkins' team buoyed by their win at QPR and eyeing further success against a Magpies team fresh from back-to-back home defeats.

The remaining Sunday fixture sees West Ham make the short trip to face a Tottenham side still smarting from derby-day disappointment against the Gunners.
