The Argentine striker, who has made 12 appearances for the Latics this season, will enjoy his second spell in Italy after a temporary period at Genoa last term.

Boselli joined Roberto Martinez's side in 2010 from Estudiantes, where he returned for a loan spell at the beginning of the 2011/2012 campaign.

Palermo will have the option to buy the 27-year-old at the end of the season.
