Fraser Fyvie: Back at Wigan after unsuccessful Yeovil loan

The Scot made just two appearances for the Glovers during his stay in Somerset, picking up a shoulder injury in the first half of his debut before being substituted 31 minutes into his second start for the club.

That 2-1 defeat to Doncaster saw Fyvie make a mistake for the game's opening goal after 11 minutes and having been withdrawn he immediately apologised on Twitter while the game, which proved to be his last for Yeovil, was still going on.

Fyvie, a Scotland U21 international, has found opportunities limited in England since blasting onto the scene for his hometown club Aberdeen as a raw 16-year-old.

He has made nine appearances for the Latics, eight in cup competitions, with his only Premier League appearance as a substitute in the final game of last season against Aston Villa ahead of Athletic's relegation.

The 20-year-old made one appearance this campaign, against Manchester City in the Carling Cup, ahead of his loan move south.

Wigan paid around £500,000 to Aberdeen for Fyvie in July 2012, with the then-teenager signing a three-year contract.

was there, it was embarrassing - the team looked totally unbalanced from the off, the defence was woeful and when Mikel came off injured it got even worse with nobody in front of them. Up front on several occasions we had opportunities and nobody would shoot - it was a complete farse! On the back of Salah's performance I'm glad there is talk of getting shot...

reat to see Tommy Rosicky getting some love. A wonderful player. Such a pity we lost so long to injury. I was so excited when we signed him, this resurgence only makes the absences seem more of a lost opportunity.
