Nick Powell: Man Utd teenager wanted by Wigan for the rest of the season

Powell has scored eight goals in 23 appearances in all competitions for Wigan this term, impressing in the Championship and the Europa League.

The 19-year-old, who can play in midfield or further forward, is due to return to Old Trafford, but Rosler has held talks with United boss David Moyes about an extension.

"I've spoken to David and, so far, there's been no indication that anything has changed," said Rosler after Sunday's 0-0 draw with Burnley.

"On Monday and Tuesday we'll have another talk and I'll know for certain.

"Nick is a player of real quality and I would be delighted if he is able to stay with us for the rest of the season."

However, speculation has linked Powell with a move to a Premier League club for the second half of the season, with Everton, Hull City and Swansea City all reported to be interested.

Powell has made six appearances for United since his 2012 move from Crewe Alexandra and Moyes confirmed last week he is considering what to do with the teenager in January.

Hull have been mooted as favourites to sign Powell, but Steve Bruce would have to consider the futures of on-loan duo Jake Livermore and Danny Graham.

Premier League clubs can only have two players on loan from another top-flight team at one time, with both Livermore and Graham linked with permanent deals at the KC Stadium.

onfirmed. Nick Miller is a douche bag. Lazy, incoherent rant is what this article should be titled. And for the editor to have the temerity to pass this as acceptable writing is shocking. Ah well, anything for clicks right? You got mine. Well done. Your mother must be proud.
