Rhoys Wiggins: Returned to action in friendly

The left-back has been missing since suffering multiple fractured metatarsals against his former club Crystal Palace in mid-September.

But Wiggins played an hour in a development squad friendly against Tottenham this week and came through unscathed.

"Rhoys has been working very hard to get himself back," physio Erol Umut told Charlton's website.

"He's been adamant to get himself back with his team-mates, and towards the latter stages of his rehab it's about his match fitness and getting his movement patterns and game time under his belt.

"He came through 55-60 minutes unscathed on Tuesday, and came in for a bit of treatment on Wednesday, when he was obviously feeling a bit leggy and a bit tired.

"At this stage of his injury, we worry about him picking up secondary problems after being out for a long period of time, because it's quite easy, as soon as he is fit, to be included in the squad for selection.

"We just need to be careful in this last little bit that he doesn't pick up any unnecessary secondary problems after being out for a while."
