Dorian Dervite: Agreed new deal to stay at Charlton

Dervite has established himself as a key player in Chris Powell's side since arriving from Villarreal last summer.

The former Tottenham youngster made 31 appearances last season and was integral in helping them secure their Championship status.

The 24-year-old's current deal was due to expire this summer, but Charlton have moved to tie down the centre-back to a new long-term contract.

News of Dervite's fresh deal will come as a boost to Powell as he plans for next season with a number of clubs believed to be keeping tabs on the Frenchman.

I just got back from a pub lunch, scampi and chips (+4 pints) in case you were wondering.
