Jonjo Shelvey: Began his career at Charlton

England Under-21 international Shelvey, who signed a four-year contract with the Swans on Wednesday, progressed through Charlton's Academy and the London club are set to benefit from a sell-on clause inserted into the £1.7m deal that took him to Liverpool in May 2010.

Charlton's chief operating officer Steve Bradshaw told the club's official website: "We've made significant investment in our Academy over the years and continue to do so, and it continues to pay dividends for the club in a variety of ways, with Jonjo one of many graduates regularly playing at the highest level.

"We're delighted to see Jonjo forging a career in the Premier League and on the international stage with England Under-21s and the senior set-up, and wish him all the best at his new club."

P

robably the first list I've come across in a long time where I agree with a large majority of what was written. Can't agree with everything though, Zaba has had an awful season by his standards, I'd put Monreal (a player who I've never rated) up there, gotta give credit where it's due, he's really stepped up his game.
